Vislink has a number of innovative solutions which enable our customers cover events imaginatively and cost-effectively. All systems are designed with ease of operation in mind and our engineers have a wealth of experience applying and operating these systems in the broadcast environment

Key features include:

  • LMS-T
    • Allows 19MB true HD wireless cameras to operate in rugged 16QAM-mode, giving unbeatable performance. Rival DVB-T systems need to run in 64QAM mode to achieve this bit-rate and give poor performance in non-line of site situations.
    • Allows practical use of 7GHz for wireless cameras for the first time, freeing you from the crowded 2GHz band and issues of channel availability and interference. DVB-T systems have poor performance at these higher frequencies
    • 20MHz mode allows 2 RF channels to be combined giving a total bit-rate of 39MB at 16QAM – important for challenging studio variety shows and fast moving sports events where quality is paramount. DVB-T systems are restricted to a maximum 8MHz bandwidth.
  • Cellular Diversity
    • Extends the coverage area by constructing cellular receive zones, allowing wireless cameras complete freedom of movement.
    • Cameras can move seamlessly from one receive ‘cell’ to the next and the system tracks them automatically - no manual switching or panning of antennas is required
    • Removes the need for expensive airborne relays for coverage of marathons, bike races, motor-sport etc
  • Connectivity
    • Fibre extenders allow antennas to be placed several Km from receivers/SNG terminals if required
    • Triax extenders allow users with existing triax infrastructure to extend antennas up to 1.2Km
    • RF repeaters enable the use of remote receive sites where cable access is impossible
  • Multiple-Path SNG/ENG
    • Newswift HD SNG system combines a 1.8m antenna with 2x 750W amplifiers, giving ample scope for multiple output path transmissions, all in HD, all from one medium-sized truck
    • SCM modems give phenomenal 155MB data rate over a single ENG microwave link, giving ample scope for multiple path HD transmissions
    • Comms and IT packages bring your studio and production office facilities to your OB location, however remote
