NewSwift HD 1.8m Antenna  The 'NewSwift HD 180' motorised antenna system is a highly compact, lightweight, integrated vehicle mountable satellite terminal designed for rapid deployment. Featuring a specially shaped offset fed antenna manufactured in carbon fibre, the 'NewSwift HD' equipment housing (or ‘Pod’) is able to house redundant 750W TWTAs, Phase combined 400W TWTAs or redundant/phase combined 300W C Band or 125W Ku Band SSPAs.
The compact design minimises vehicle roof real-estate requirements. Since the whole antenna (including the equipment housing or ‘Pod’) rotates the need for an Azimuth waveguide rotary joint is eliminated. This minimises post HPA waveguide loss which in turn maximises TX EIRP. The Ku feed includes a waveguide transfer switch to enable instant 90degree polarisation shift during manual satellite acquisition.
