LYNX H.264 Compression Engine Overview
 The LYNX H.264 COMPRESSION ENGINE upgrade for the DVE5100 Exciter is a 19” x 1RU 5000 series unit which enables the DVE5100 Exciter to carry out
H.264 4:2:0 SD/HD Encoding.
This comprises a add-on kit including the H.264 Compression Engine Upgrade, utilising ultra low delay Fujitsu Encoding in addition to standard DVB H.264 Encoding, a IP interconnect kit which connects the two units via an IP switch which also provides an external IP interface and a joining kit to enable both units to be mounted within a 19” x 1RU rackspace. The ultra low delay Fujitsu powered encoding implementation enables sub 300millisecond end to end latency (excluding IP encapsulation delays and assuming use of suitable decoder) and can be supplied as HD/SD or SD only versions.

- MPEG L2 Encoding of Three embedded audio pairs. One pair within H.264 Compression Engine and two pairs (in sync) within DVE5100 (requires external SDI splitter)
- Twin Encoders allows for SD and HD encoding of same video input to produce a 2CPC multiplexed carrier. This can be further multiplexed to a MPEG2 encoded signal (same ofr different video) within the DVE5100
