LYNX H.264 Decompression Engine

Overview

The LYNX H.264 DECOMPRESSION ENGINE upgrade for the IRD5100 Satcom Receiver is a 19” x 1RU 5000 series unit which enables the IRD5100 Receiver to
carry out H.264 4:2:0 SD/HD Decoding.

This comprises a add-on kit including the H.264 Decompression Engine Upgrade, utilising ultra low delay Fujitsu Decoding in addition to standard DVB H.264Decoding, an IP interconnect kit which connects the two units via an IP switch which also provides an external IP interface and a joining kit to enable both units to be mounted within a 19” x 1RU rackspace. The ultra low delay Fujitsu powered decoding implementation enables sub 300millisecond end to end latency (excluding IP encapsulation delays and assuming use of a Fujitsu powered encoder) and is supplied as HD/SD version.

Key Features

  • H.264 Decoding 4:2:0 HP 8 bit SD/HD
  •  Fully controlled from IRD5100 Web Browser
