ASC5000 System Controller  The ASC5000 is a compact ½ rack width 1RU Redundancy Controller used to provide switching of the signal path on failure of the units monitored within a SNG Uplink Chain. When used in Redundant SNG Flyaway systems the ASC5000 half rack-width size integrates with the other 5000 series system components to enable use of the AFD500x lightweight ½ width Flightcases for all system components keeping system complexity and weight to a minimum. In vehicle systems the graphical display shows the status and routing of each uplink system component. The ASC5000 includes integral Dual HPA Control eliminating the need for a separate HPA Controller. The ASC5000 has an inbuilt web browser and collates the RC&M information of all the 5000 Units in the system and presents this as separate “Control Tabs” within the Web Browser window.
Where more complex switching arrangements are required Vislink also manufacture a full 19” width 1RU unit, the ARC4010, which should be considered for these cases. This unit is particularly applicable for Fixed Earth Station terminals with 1:n switching.
